Details of experience:
Before her admission to Legacy at Boca Raton, E.H. was fully independent. She managed all her daily activities without assistance. However, after experiencing a fall at home, she sustained a fractured rib and required a one-week hospital stay.
Following her hospitalization, E.H. was admitted to Legacy at Boca Raton for short-term rehabilitation, where she remained for five weeks. During her stay, the nursing staff played an essential role in her recovery by ensuring she received her medications before therapy sessions. This allowed her to participate effectively and maximize her rehabilitation efforts.
Due to a week of limited mobility in the hospital, E.H. initially experienced a noticeable loss of strength. However, she quickly made progress thanks to her strong commitment to therapy. She never turned down a session of physical therapy or occupational therapy, and within just a few days, she began to see real improvement.
E.H. described the therapy at Legacy as “beyond,” praising the therapists for listening closely to her needs. They focused on building her balance and endurance to ensure she was well-equipped to return home safely and confidently.
She also highlighted the supportive staff, particularly Mary, who ensured all her transportation needs for outside appointments were arranged smoothly. In addition to her rehabilitation, E.H. enjoyed some of the amenities offered at the facility, including a beautiful on-site beauty shop and a vending machine stocked with extra goodies.
Thanks to the dedicated team and her own determination, E.H. made significant strides in her recovery and was well-prepared to resume her independent lifestyle. We wish E.H. continued success on her journey towards better health.
